A new year

I read in the newspaper that Connie, the person who wrote the letter about Shawn's website, died last week. Normally, I would not take pleasure in anyone else's death; however, this person was a constant irritation to my family and the primary source of anxiety to Shawn. I witnessed a horrible change in Shawn's demeanor and behavior after he became entangled with Connie and her family. I can not help but think that Shawn would still be alive today if he had not met them.
One tiny bit of irony is that Connie died on Shawn's birthday. How appropriate.
I feel that next year is bound to be much better than the last ten. Best wishes to everyone.
